Healthy Holidays

Holiday appetizers shouldn’t make you feel like you need a nap. So, try some healthy appetizers instead of the traditional salty, inflammatory meats and cheeses.  Opt for animal-free nut cheeses, hummus and other fun finger foods for tray dipping. Add a mix of steamed, raw and roasted veggies like carrots, green beans, broccoli, peppers and Brussels (again, not my favorite, just look it even stands for BS HA) sprouts. Bring in some sweetness with fresh and dried fruits (be sure to look  for added sweeteners and preservatives) such as berries, grapes, persimmon, oranges and apples. Top it all off with some whole grain crackers
