Q. How did Sara Simmons & the Cornpickers get their name?
Sara got booked at The Farm Progress Show in Decatur Illinois and was asked to create a band name. While trying to stay with Sara Simmons they urged for a band name, and so the rest is history. With Sara being from Iowa it just felt natural. And so, Sara Simmons & the Cornpickers was born.

Sara grew up on a goat farm and was milking goats at an early age.
